Message from Gala Co-Chairs

New Orleans Mardis Gras celebrations boast a unique brand of fun, food, music, masquerading, and merriment. Join our Pickering Krewe as we deliver that N’awlins flavour to this year’s Pickering Mayor’s Gala.

Durham Region’s premier black tie event may be more colourful this year as guests opt to wear traditional New Orleans Mardis Gras colours of green, gold, and purple. We anticipate seeing lots of feathered masks too.

Of course the objective of our gala is to raise funds in support our local hospital and other crucial community organizations. This year, we’re pleased to be purchasing more neonatal monitors for our Ajax Pickering Hospital. We are also supporting the good work of Grandview Children’s Centre and the Durham Region 2019 Ontario Parasport Games.

We’ve been blessed by sponsors, donors, and volunteers that return year after year. We can’t thank you enough for your generosity and commitment to us and to our community. Together, we’ve raise more than $2.5 million! That’s a lot of community good!

And thank you to our dedicated organizing committee. You are tireless and talented. We’re proud of all we accomplish together and we are honoured to serve alongside of you.

We’re getting ready to laissez les bons temps rouler (let the good times roll) on Saturday, November 17. We look forward to greeting you with a warm Bonjour y’all!
